In order to properly prepare new members for our CrossFit program, CrossFit Midland offers a Foundations course. This course consists of 8 private training sessions with a dedicated coach during where you will receive instruction on various CrossFit movements, assess mobility issues, and discuss proper scaling techniques. The Foundations program must be completed prior to attending our regularly scheduled CrossFit classes.
Our regular CrossFit classes last around an hour and start with a dynamic warm-up, then either skill/strength work, followed by the workout of the day (WOD). All CrossFit workouts can be scaled to each individual’s fitness level, whether that be modifying the movement itself, using lighter weight, performing less reps, working for a shorter duration, etc. As you continue to make gains in strength and your overall aerobic capacity improves, the movements will become easier and less scaling becomes necessary.
Combining elements of strength training, yoga, and high intensity conditioning, Fit Camp participants will experience a challenging and functional indoor bootcamp style workout using all elements found in the gym, except a barbell. These classes focus on cardiovascular conditioning and building muscular endurance and can be customized to the needs of any individual. There is no prerequisite to begin our Fit Camp classes.
Our nutrition coaches offer nutritional consultations with ongoing monthly accountability check-ins where health and aesthetic goals are discussed and one’s current eating habits and diet are broken down and analyzed. We will help you construct a personalized macronutrient plan optimize your performance, aiding in weight loss and improving overall body composition.
The Athlete Factory is the sports and athletic performance program of CrossFit Midland. We offer private, small group and team training to meet the needs of every athlete. No matter the sport or training experience, our expert coach Stephanie Vaughn and her team will design a plan to make the most of your training experience. Whether in season, off season or pre-season, training at The Athlete Factory is a great way to improve performance, reduce injury and increase an athlete’s confidence.
